About
As a visual storyteller I use images to illuminate the unseen, through editorial and picturebook illustration.
Using natural, organic materials I craft my illustrations by hand, drawing out colour and texture from handmade inks and sun exposed cyanotypes.
Digital tools enable me to collage my handcrafted work into conceptual images, delivering a visual language that conveys the textured, messy, unseen sides of motherhood, the power of the feminine and humankind’s deep connection with our natural environment.
An ongoing research interest into the visualisation of matrescence; the physical and psychological process of becoming a mother, underpins much of my illustration work.
Originally from Jersey, I now live on the West Sussex coast. I completed an MA in Illustration (Falmouth University) in 2024.
